Illustration of the Year award by the Association of Dutch Illustrators (NIC) – for the illustration “de Kluut (the Stilt)” made for the Animal Support calendar 1995.

Dutch illustration Award,  category Editorial by Association of Dutch Designers (BNO) – for the illustration “the Last Taboo” made for Playboy magazine.

2000

Dutch illustration Award,  category Institutional by Association of Dutch Designers (BNO) – for the illustration “A safe entrance into a New Era” made as a New Year’s greeting.

2003

Dutch Design Award – for six consecutive covers for Rails magazine.

2004

ADCN award (Lamp), category Illustration by the Dutch art directors Club (ADCN) –  for the illustration “Goodbye to the video” made for cover of the “VPRO gids”.

2009

Dutch Design Award – for the TV commercial of investment bank Alexart direction and visuals. 

2010

European Design Award – for the TV commercial of investment bank Alexart direction and visuals. 

2012

Comik.nl award – for “That Damn Day” daily cartoon.

2013

ADCN award (Lamp), category Graphic Design by the Dutch art directors Club (ADCN) –  for the illustrations for the Artis’ “Forgotten Animals” campaign and the typographic design by creative agency Dawn were a perfect match.

2016

The Affordable Artfair Amsterdam (AAF) Kids Curator’s Choice Award – for the “Libellula Lagoformosa” as part of the steady growing Terra Ultima project.

2021

Shortlist Jan Wolkers prize – for the book “Terra Ultima” ~ the jury: “Terra Ultima is … a celebration of wonder and imagination.”

2022

Woutertje Pieterse Prize – for the book “Terra Ultima” ~ the jury: “Terra Ultima is a fabulous book to dream away with, a book to take seriously. A book that binds generations together.”

Het Gouden Penseel (the Golden Paintbrush) – for the artwork in the book “Terra Ultima ~ the jury: “A book that stands out … Grand and compelling on the one hand and refined and detailed on the other.”
